In iOS or iPadOS, go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff and make sure Handoff is enabled. On a Mac, go to the General preference pane and make sure “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices” is checked. The Mac can’t be sharing its internet connection, nor can the iPad share its cellular connection. The Handoff requirements apply here for wireless use of Sidecar: the Mac and iPad have to be signed into the same iCloud account (and two-factor authentication must be enabled), have Bluetooth enabled, have Wi-Fi enabled, and be within about 30 feet of each other.
On your device, use a web browser to go to smartmirror.Sidebar lets you click or tap to move a window between a Mac and an iPad. From the display’s Home screen, tap Screen Share. 
You can just connect by a device’s native screen sharing technology or by SMART’s own Screen Sharing App. In this option, you don’t have to install apps or software either. Type the six-digit session ID as shown on the SMART Mirror home screen. Follow the instructions to open Screen Mirroring for that device. You’ll need this name when you connect with AirPlay. Tap Screen Share on the display’s Home screen. Make sure your macOS or iOS mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the display. You can stop sharing your screen by opening the SMART Mirror App menu and selecting Quit SMART Mirror App. Share my screen so other participants can see your computer’s screen on the SMART display. We’ll assume you’re the first person to connect, so select. The SMART Mirror home screen opens and displays a six-digit session ID. On the display’s Home screen, tap Screen Share. Go to the SMART support site and download and install the app for your Windows or Mac computer.
